Accuracy takes priority over preserving an earlier version of a story.
Corrections
Material factual errors are corrected on the affected page. When the change matters to a reader’s understanding, a correction note explains what was wrong and what changed.
Normal updates
A developing story may change without the earlier reporting being erroneous. Those changes are reflected with an Updated timestamp and revised context.
